Dr. Lalit Kumar Sonawane, a medical officer lost his hearing when he was 22 years old. Unable to hear with optimally fitted hearing aids, he had lost all hope. He underwent a cochlear implant surgery at the age of thirty-four. His implant gave him a new lease of life. He can now hear well and communicates efficiently with people around him.

Nine months after receiving the implant, his life has undergone a complete transformation.
